  • The Panthers’ 2026 win total is set at 6.5 wins at BetMGM.
  • Carolina won the NFC South in 2025 despite finishing with a 8-9 record in the season.
  • I predict the Panthers finish under 6.5 wins in 2026 due to regression in close games.

For the 2026 NFL season, the Panthers win total sits at 6.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

The Panthers continued its ascent under Dave Canales, winning eight games in 2025. That marked a three-win improvement for Carolina, which won the NFC South before falling in the wild-card round.

Despite that improvement, oddsmakers kept Carolina at the same win total year over year. If the Panthers clear this benchmark, it will mark the third straight success in terms of its win total.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for Carolina’s 2026 win total and my Panthers win total prediction.

Panthers Win Total Odds

The Panthers’ season win total is set at 6.5 games.

Oddsmakers rate the over as the more likely outcome for Carolina. Currently, the Panthers are -140 to win seven or more games.

Conversely, the Panthers’ odds to win six or fewer games in 2026 are +115.

Here are the 2026 NFL win totals for all NFC South teams:

Panthers Win Total Prediction 2026

Carolina Panthers Under 6.5 Wins (+110)

Based on Carolina’s change in schedule difficulty and lucky record last year, I predict the Panthers finish Under 6.5 Wins (+110).

Carolina won the NFC South with only eight wins in 2025. Asking the team to regress by at least two wins in 2026 is not that difficult a requirement.

Last year, Carolina used turnovers to win outright as a 10-point home dog against the Rams. Fun fact – LA didn’t punt until the third quarter in that 31-28 Carolina win.

More mind-boggling is the 16-13 win at Green Bay, which didn’t punt for the entire game.

Including those games, Carolina finished 6-2 in games decided by a field goal or less. Only one of Carolina’s eight wins came by more than a possession.

Now the Panthers project to face the league’s third-hardest schedule by opponent win totals (151.5).

That’s even more concerning when you consider every NFC South team has a win total at 8.5 or lower. Outside the division, the Panthers play 10 of 11 against teams with win totals at 9.5 or higher.

By 2025 point differential, the Panthers protected a 6.9-win team. Additionally, the offense finished 25th in DVOA, down a spot from 2024.

Defensively, Carolina faces the 10th-hardest set of offenses over a two-year blended average. I don’t trust the offense to keep up if that happens, so I like Carolina to take a step back in 2026.

Most Wins in Panthers History

The Panthers’ record for most wins in a single season is 15 from 2015. That season ended in the Super Bowl with a loss to the Denver Broncos.

They’re one of 12 NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl.

Fewest Wins in Panthers History

The Panthers’ season with the fewest wins was in 2001 when they won just one game. The Panthers have finished with four or fewer wins in a season just three times.
