The Miami Dolphins have reached the Super Bowl five times: Super Bowl VI, VII, VII, XVII, XIX.

Have the Dolphins Ever Won the Super Bowl

The Dolphins have won the Super Bowl twice in two consecutive years: 1972 (VII) and 1973 (VIII). Miami’s five Super Bowl appearances all came under Hall of Fame head coach Don Shula.

Their last appearance wad 1984.

Super Bowl VII vs. Washington

Miami’s iconic undefeated 1972 season concluded with the Dolphins’ first Super Bowl trophy in a 14-7 win over Washington. Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese missed most of the regular season and the entirety of the playoffs with a leg fracture, with 38-year-old Earl Morrall leading the NFL’s most legendary season by a team.

Super Bowl VIII vs. Vikings

Miami’s third straight trip to the Super Bowl concluded with a repeat championship victory over the Minnesota Vikings 24-7. It wasn’t quite another season of perfection for Shula’s club, but it ended with the ultimate prize. Hall of Fame running back Larry Csonka led the charge with 33 carries for 145 yards on the ground, earning Super Bowl MVP honors.
