Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks is entering the final year of his two-year contract.
Jordan Hicks Salary
In 2022, the Vikings signed Hicks to a two-year, $10,000,000 contract. The deal included a $3,000,000 signing bonus, with $4,450,000 guaranteed at signing and an average annual salary of $5,000,000.
Jordan Hicks Cap Hit
Hicks carries a cap hit of $5,000,000 this season. He has a dead cap hit of $4,750,000.
Jordan Hicks Potential Extension
Hicks will be 31 years old by the start of the 2023 season. If he replicates his success from 2022, a few teams could be willing to roll the dice on a two- or three-year contract starting in 2024.
Hicks can hang his hat on the Super Bowl win with the Philadelphia Eagles, and maybe he’ll eventually get the respect he deserves with a Pro Bowl nomination. Still, teams will unlikely be lining up to sign Hicks to an extended contract.
A contract similar to his most recent deal with the Vikings could be the best Hicks could hope for after this campaign.
