The city of Los Angeles last hosted the Super Bowl in January 1973. The Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins in Super Bowl VII in the last Super Bowl played in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum.

Super Bowl History in Los Angeles

Los Angeles has hosted the Super Bowl twice:

  • Super Bowl I: Chiefs vs. Packers
  • Super Bowl VII: Dolphins vs. Redskins

Both games were played at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Six more Super Bowls were played in cities within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Five were played at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and one was played at SoFI Stadium in Inglewood.
