Lucas Patrick inked a two-year deal worth $8,000,000 with Chicago in March 2022. It included a $2,965,000 signing bonus, with $4,000,000 guaranteed and an average annual salary of $4,000,000.
In 2023, the guard will earn a base salary of $3,800,000 with a workout bonus of $100,000.
Lucas Patrick Cap Hit
The 29-year-old’s contract will carry a cap hit of $5,382,500 in 2023, with a dead cap hit of $1,482,500.
Lucas Patrick Potential Extension
Patrick’s first season in Chicago was destroyed by injuries, including a season-ending toe injury in Week 7.
In 2023, he should have a chance to finally find his footing. In 2020, Patrick was part of a stellar offensive line in Green Bay, statistically the fourth-best O-line in Packers history.
If he can grab the starting role at center and stay healthy, Patrick should be a lock to receive a multi-year contract extension from the Bears.
