Mike Edwards inked the $3,000,000 contract with Kansas City on March 17, 2023. It includes a $1,400,000 signing bonus with $2,480,000 guaranteed and an average annual salary of $3,000,000.
In 2023, he will have a base salary of $1,080,000 and a roster bonus of $382,353 per game. His contract also includes a workout bonus of $20,000.

The Ohio native will carry a cap hit of $2,882,352 in 2023. His contract has a dead cap value of $2,480,000.

Kansas City lost Juan Thornhill to the Cleveland Browns but replaced him with someone who can equal his production. Edwards should jump straight into the Chiefs’ secondary and has the potential to get even better.
Set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2024, the 26-year-old must prove his worth to secure a multi-year contract. He is in a perfect position to do so, as he is on one of the best teams in the league.Â
In 58 career games, Edwards has recorded 184 tackles, with one forced fumble and two sacks. He has seven interceptions in the NFL.
