  • The Jets are 7-10 following Week 18.
  • The Jets did not make the postseason.

It’s been a long time since the Jets made the playoffs — 2010 to be exact. They currently have the NFL’s longest postseason drought at 12 years.

But, following a strong start to the 2022 season, their NFL playoff odds were the best they had been in years. Unfortunately, things didn’t go the Jets’ way down the stretch.

Jets Playoff Seed

The Jets finished the season with a 7-10 record. They were mathematically eliminated from postseason play following Week 17’s loss to the Seahawks.

Jets AFC East

The Bills won the AFC East.

The top seven teams made the playoffs, with the four division winners earning the top four seeds.

Pittsburgh and Miami finished with the same 9-8 record, but thanks to their win earlier in the year, the Dolphins won the tiebreaker.

Buffalo and Cincinnati played a 16-game schedule, as their Week 17 game was not completed following Damar Hamlin going into cardiac arrest.
