  • The Jets are 7-4 following Week 12.
  • As of today, the Jets would be the No. 7 seed.

It’s been a long time since the Jets made the playoffs — 2010 to be exact. They currently have the NFL’s longest postseason drought at 11 years.

But, following a strong start to the 2022 season, their NFL playoff odds are the best they’ve been in years.

Can Robert Saleh lead the Jets to the postseason in his second season?

Here’s how things currently look for the 2022 season.

Jets Playoff Seed

Following Week 12, the Jets are 7-4 and would be the final team to make the playoffs in the AFC. If the playoffs began today, they would face the Dolphins.

Jets AFC East

The Jets are a game behind Miami and Buffalo for first place in the AFC East. This division is arguably the best in football and will come down to the final few weeks of the regular season.

AFC Playoff Standings

SeedTeamRecord
1Chiefs9-2
2Dolphins8-3
3Titans7-4
4Ravens7-4
5Bills8-3
6Bengals7-4
7Jets7-4

The top seven teams make the playoffs, with the four division winners earning the top four seeds.

If the playoffs began today, three of the four teams in the AFC East would make the postseason.

The teams just missing out on the playoffs would be the Patriots (6-5) and Chargers (6-5).
