  • The Buffalo Bills (-130) are predicted to win the AFC East in 2026.
  • In 2025, the Patriots ended a five-year winning streak for Buffalo in the division.
  • Both the Jets and Dolphins are priced at +2000 or higher to steal the division title.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for the AFC East division winner based on opening odds for the 2026-27 season.

Oddsmakers price the Buffalo Bills as a narrow -105 favorite to claim back the division. Last year, the Patriots claimed the AFC East, ending a five-year streak for the Bills.

New England currently sits at +105 to win the division after a Super Bowl LX loss to Seattle. Bringing up the rear are the Jets (+2000) and Dolphins (+2800).

AFC East Prediction 2026

Based on New England’s change in schedule difficulty and Buffalo’s consistent offensive record, I predict the Buffalo Bills (-130) win the AFC East in 2026.

Laying juice on a futures bet is rarely my preference. By pricing and unique opponents, I’m semi-tempted to take a flier on the New York Jets (+2000).

By unique opponents, the Bills get Houston, Los Angeles (N) and Baltimore. Meanwhile, the Jets get Tennessee, Arizona and Cleveland.

What ultimately swung me back to the Bills is the distribution of common games outside the division. Both Buffalo and New York are set to face the NFC North and AFC West in 2026.

Buffalo gets the Chiefs, Chargers and Lions at home. The Jets face those three teams on the road.

Here’s a breakdown of the opponent win total average for both teams at home and away:

  • Buffalo: 8.875 at home, 8.16 on the road
  • New York: 8.125 at home, 8.5 on the road

That sample includes divisional opponents, but it’s further illustrative of New York’s lofty road test in 2026.

Further driving my confidence in Buffalo is their offensive ceiling. Joe Brady remains within the organization as head coach, leading an offense that ranked fourth in DVOA last season.

Although a slight drop from second place in the 2024 season, Buffalo largely struggled in 2025, beating themselves.

The Bills, including the postseason, finished 2-5 when the offense recorded at least two turnovers. Otherwise, the team posted an 11-1 record with a 13-12 loss to Philly the only failure.

If the offense maintains its level into 2026, I trust the team to overcome a semi-difficult schedule outside the division featuring a number of good offenses.
