Pete Carroll has a legendary resume and a big reputation as a playerโ€™s coach. But when he was dismissed in Seattle following the 2023 NFL season, it seemed likely that his career as a head coach was over.

As it turns out, the soon-to-be-74-year-old has another gig in him. Carroll has another job in front of him: bring a little life to the dysfunctional Las Vegas Raiders.

Las Vegas has an untalented roster, by modern NFL standards, and no long-term solution at quarterback. Carroll can bring some immediate stability, but the ceiling remains limited for the Raidersโ€™ odds market.
