Survivor Pool 101: How Does a Football Survivor Pool Work?

BetMGM Survivor Pool 2023 Football

The Grand Prize for the BetMGM Survivor Pool Challenge is $100,000.ย

But how exactly do you win?

How Does a Football Survivor Pool Work?

You pick one team to win each week of the season. The margin of victory doesnโ€™t matter; itโ€™s similar to NFL moneylines.

If your team wins โ€” in regulation or overtime โ€” you advance to the next week.

If your team loses or ties, youโ€™re eliminated.ย

If you advance, you must pick a different team to win in Week 2. Once you pick a team, you canโ€™t pick that team again for the remainder of the season.

For example: You pick the Washington Commanders to beat the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.

If the Commanders win, you advance to Week 2.

In Week 2, you canโ€™t pick the Commanders to beat the Denver Broncos, nor can you pick the Commanders in Weeks 3-18.

The Survivor Pool Challenge continues until only one entrant remains or until all games are completed in Week 18.

Whatโ€™s the Payout for the Survivor Pool?

The payout is $100,000 for the BetMGM Survivor Pool Challenge.ย

If multiple entrants remain after the regular season, the Grand Prize will be equally split. Thereโ€™s no end-of-season tiebreaker to determine one winner.
