Drafted No. 55 overall in 2016, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd has established himself as a number three receiver on a solid team.

The Bengals’ wideout is entering the final year of his second four-year contract. Boyd signed his rookie deal with the Bengals out of Pittsburgh and later re-upped with the club.

Boyd signed a four-year, $43,000,000 contract with the Cincinnati Bengals, including a $7,000,000 signing bonus, $17,280,769 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $10,750,000.

Tyler Boyd Cap Hit

The 28-year-old carried a $10,100,000 cap hit in 2022. Boyd’s final contract year will see him with a $10,300,000 cap hit in 2023.

Tyler Boyd Potential Extension

Boyd is coming off a 2022 campaign where he had his worst statistical season since 2017. The Bengals’ wide receiver caught 58 passes for 762 yards and five touchdowns. With two elite wide receivers taking away targets from Boyd, it’s understandable why his numbers are down.

With free agency approaching for Boyd again in 2024, multiple comparable players to him warrant looking at. Hunter Renfrow, Allen Robinson, Corey Davis, and Tim Patrick all share similar numbers to Boyd at this point in their careers.
