Netflix will premiere its new NFL docuseries “Quarterback” on July 12.

The heavily anticipated new series will follow Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, among others.

“Quarterback” is the latest in a growing number of sports docuseries produced by Netflix. There’s also “Break Point”, which follows a series of men’s and women’s tennis players on the pro tour.

The original model was “Drive to Survive”, which helped launch the current swell of American interest in F1 racing.

“Quarterback” may hem most closely to “QB1” – another Netflix docuseries that has followed high school quarterbacks in their final season before heading to college. “QB1” has followed several high-profile names, including Justin Fields, Spencer Rattler, and Sam Hartman.
