With the recent struggles of some teams in the AFC, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are again emerging as a massive threat to be a serious contender to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
Mahomes and the Chiefs are coming off another impressive defeat over the Jacksonville Jaguars, which saw the franchise quarterback throw for 331 yards and four touchdowns. With another banner afternoon, Mahomes continues to lead the NFL in passing yards with 2,936.
Tom Brady of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has remained behind Mahomes in the race but hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
In Munich, Germany, Brady and the Bucs had another solid day against the Seattle Seahawks, which saw the future Hall of Fame signal-caller throw for 258 yards and a pair of touchdowns. After that performance, Brady continues to sit somewhat comfortably with the second-most passing yards in the NFL with 2,805.
There were question marks entering Sunday’s big matchup between the Buffalo Bills and Minnesota Vikings surrounding the health of Josh Allen and whether he’d suit up.
He did play in the game, which turned out to be a classic, with the Vikings coming out on top in overtime. Still, Allen managed to throw for 330 yards in the losing effort but did have two costly interceptions for Buffalo.
