Unsurprisingly, the magical Patrick Mahomes was crowned MVP of Super Bowl LIV back in February 2020.

The NFL odds for Super Bowl LIV closed with the Chiefs as short favorites. The number was Chiefs -1 or Chiefs -1.5, depending on your ticket.

It looked like the 49ers were going to deliver a mild upset, with San Francisco holding a 20-10 lead as the fourth quarter began to wind down.

But Mahomes led three touchdown-scoring drives in the final seven minutes, winning the game and securing his first career Super Bowl MVP trophy.

There could be more to follow before his career is all said and done.

As of Wednesday, Feb. 8, Mahomes is the favorite in Super Bowl MVP odds. At +130, he’s just ahead of Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts.
