Two months after the New York Jets selected Zach Wilson with the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the former BYU quarterback ended a brief holdout and signed a four-year rookie contract.
Barely one year later, it appears Wilson will remain with the Jets for only half of his rookie deal. After losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 16, FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer, among others, reported the Jets are expected to “move on” from Wilson after the 2022 season.

Zach Wilson’s contract is a four-year deal worth $35,150,681, all of which is guaranteed and includes a signing bonus of approximately $22.9 million.
The contract included a fifth-year option for 2025.

Zach Wilson’s base salary for 2022 is just $825,000, but thanks to a roster bonus of $1,432,758, his total cash number is $2,257,758.
