  • Updated NHL prop bet predictions for today.
  • Jason Robertson has recorded 25 shots in the playoffs.
  • Auston Matthews has recorded 10 points.

There are two games for Thursday’s NHL slate, and I’ve identified some favorable game prop bets on the BetMGM Sportsbook for you to consider ahead of the today’s action.

NHL Game Prop Bets: Thursday, May 4

Jason Robertson Over 3.5 Shots (+100)

Seattle Kraken vs. Dallas Stars, 9:40 p.m. ET

During the regular season, Robertson recorded 46 goals, 63 assists, 109 points, and 313 shots, and he’s already managed another 25 shots in the playoffs. Going into tonight, another four shots is very doable.

The Stars have a tough series ahead of them against the Kraken, but they have a good shot at advancing — if they can keep it together. Robertson will likely continue to make waves, and Dallas will need every shot he can record.

Auston Matthews Over 1.5 Points (+120)

Florida Panthers vs. Toronto Maple Leafs, 7:10 p.m. ET

Through the regular season, Matthews recorded 40 goals, 45 assists, 85 points, and 327 shots, and the 25-year-old hasn’t slowed down in the playoffs. In the first round against the Lightning, Matthews managed to add another nine points to his tally, so he’s definitely established himself as a player to watch as the postseason continues.

Against the Panthers, the Maple Leafs have a good shot of advancing to the conference final, and Matthews is sure to continue playing a huge role in the team’s success. At least two points tonight shouldn’t be too big an ask.

What is an NHL Prop Bet?

NHL prop bets don’t specifically focus on the outcome of an NHL game but look at in-game events, such as how many goals will be scored in each period, when the goals will be scored, etc.

You can also direct your attention to player props, where you can choose which individuals you think will score in each contest.

Types of NHL Prop Bets

BetMGM has an array of game prop bets for each NHL game, including but not exhaustive to the following:

  • Winning margin
  • Which team will score the first goal?
  • Correct score
  • In which period will the most goals be scored?
  • Time of the first goal
  • Will both teams score one or more goals in the first period/second period/third period?
  • Which team will be the first to reach three goals?
  • Will both teams score three or more goals (including OT and shootout)?

How To Bet NHL Prop Bets

Locking in NHL props couldn’t be easier. First, head to the NHL betting page and select a specific game. Then go to the main betting page or select game props on the dropdown arrow.

Click on the prop bets you’d like to commit to and place your desired wager amount (stake). Then, place your bet, sit back, and enjoy the on-ice action.
