  • The purse for the 2022 QBE Shootout was $3.8 million.
  • Tom Hoge/Sahith Theegala's winner's share was $950,000.
  • The event had 12 teams (24 players).

The 2022 calendar year on the PGA Tour came to an end Dec. 9-11 with the QBE Shootout at the Tiburón Golf Course in Naples, Florida.

The QBE Shootout had a solid field, where 24 players, including two players from the LPGA Tour, formed 12 teams and competed over three days.

Some of the teams included Nelly Korda-Denny McCarthy, Maverick McNealy-Lexi Thompson, Kevin Kisner-Max Homa and Steve Stricker-Cameron Young.

In the end, Sahith Theegala-Tom Hoge earned the win, finishing at 34-under. That was one shot better than Charley Hoffman-Ryan Palmer.

This was the first time the pair played in the event and the first-ever win for Theegala in a PGA Tour-affiliated event. Unlike the Zurich Classic, also a team event, this does not get players FedEx Cup points, Official World Golf Ranking points, etc.

The purse was $3.8 million, which was up from $3.6 million in 2021.

How Much Does the Winner of the QBE Shootout Make?

Sahith Theegala/Tom Hoge earned a winner’s share of $950,000 at the 2022 QBE Shootout. Each player received $475,000.

*Note all prize money earnings are for the team, so each player gets half that amount.

Does Winner of QBE Shootout Get Masters Invite?

No, this is not an official event, so the winners don’t get a Masters invite. Players also don’t get Official World Ranking points or FedEx Cup points.
