Max Homa’s 61 at Los Angeles Country Club in 2013 at the Pac-12 Championships is believed to be the course record. LACC has not hosted a PGA Tour event since the 1940s.

But it did host the Walker Cup in 2017.

Los Angeles Country Club is a 36-hole venue, and the U.S. Open will be played on the North Course, which was restored by Gil Hanse in 2010.

Lowest U.S. Open Round

The lowest U.S. Open round ever recorded is a 62.

Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler shot 62 in the first round of the 2023 U.S. Open at Los Angeles Country Club.

Prior to that, it was 63, done by six players: Johnny Miller (1973), Jack Nicklaus (1980), Tom Weiskopf (1980), Vijay Singh (2003), Justin Thomas (2017) and Tommy Fleetwood (2018).
