Although it took until Monday to complete, it was a terrific week at the Players Championship.

Cameron Smith, who had golf odds of +3000 going into the tournament, pulled out a one-stroke victory over Anirban Lahiri. Smith fired a 6-under par 66 in the final round to earn his second PGA Tour victory of the season.

Smith finished the tournament 13-under par.

The 28-year-old will take home $3.6 million, which is part of a record-breaking $20 million total purse. Meanwhile, Lahiri will get $2.2 million.

The tournament will be most remembered for close to five inches of rain, which caused delays Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The first round was not completed until Saturday afternoon, which then caused the second round to go until early Sunday afternoon.

The third round was played Sunday and Monday morning followed by the final round Monday afternoon.

Paul Casey, Kevin Kisner, and Keegan Bradley rounded out the top five.
