- Scottie Scheffler is at the top of the PGA Tour power rankings.
- Wyndham Clark occupies the No. 2 spot.
- Tommy Fleetwood comes in at No. 10.
The best golfers on the PGA Tour find themselves with the best PGA Tour odds every week, but these golfers change a great deal over the course of the year.
For instance, Justin Thomas may win a few tournaments early in the year and have the best Masters odds but if he gets into a slump, he may drop when it comes to U.S. Open odds.
Here are the updated PGA Tour power rankings.
PGA Tour Power Rankings: Best Players on PGA Tour Right Now
1. Scottie Scheffler
Scheffler is on another level, well above his peers on the PGA Tour. This spring, he’s won the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship and the Masters. In nine starts this calendar year, he has three wins and eight top 10s.
2. Wyndham Clark
Clark is separating himself from the rest of the group behind Scheffler. He finished second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T-2 at the Players Championship. Clark missed the cut at the Masters but it was his first time at the event.
3. Ludvig Aberg
Aberg is now the 7th-ranked player in the world and has only played in one major where he finished runner-up to Scheffler at the Masters. He’s finished inside the top 25 in seven straight events and that includes four top 10s.
4. Xander Schauffele
While he hasn’t won a major, Schauffele always seems to be in the mix at them, which he was again at the Masters, finishing solo eighth. He’s one of the most consistent players on the PGA Tour, and it wouldn’t be stunning to see him get his first major this season. Schauffele has seven top 10s in nine starts this season.
5. Max Homa
It’s been a bit of a struggle for Homa this season, but he appeared to find something at the Masters, finishing T-3. Ranked No. 9 in the Official World Golf Rankings, the week at Augusta could give him the confidence he needs to break out in a big way.
6. Collin Morikawa
Morikawa is similar to Homa this season but finished T-3 at the Masters. He comes in at No. 13 in the Official World Golf Rankings, and if what he discovered with his swing at Augusta translates to other weeks, he should find himself in contention a lot more.
7. Rory McIlroy
It’s been a tough year for McIlroy on the PGA Tour, as his best finish was a solo third at the Valero Texas Open. Other than that, he hasn’t had a finish better than T-19. The world No. 2 is searching for consistency.
8. Hideki Matsuyama
Matsuyama is quietly having a very solid 2024 season. Not only did he win the Genesis Invitational, but he has four other top-15 finishes, including a T-6 at the Players Championship.
9. Patrick Cantlay
Cantlay has had a ton of success on the PGA Tour but struggles in majors. In 25 major championships, he has just one top five finish. Despite this, he’s an insane talent and is still one of the best players in the game. So far in 2024, he has three top 15 finishes in eight starts, including a T-4 at the Genesis Invitational.
10. Tommy Fleetwood
Fleetwood, who still does not have a PGA Tour win, is playing some consistent golf at the moment, including a T-3 at the Masters. In his last five starts, he has three top-10 finishes.
