- Brentford is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Man United.
- Manchester United has won six of its last seven EPL matches following a league draw.
- My Brentford vs. Man United prediction is a creative backing of Brentford.
After playing a Thursday match against Nottingham Forest, Brentford returns home on Sunday to face Manchester United.ย
Itโs essentially a meaningless fixture on Sunday with neither side playing for much in the league. Brentford, irrespective of Thursdayโs result, will remain in EPL purgatory.ย
Manchester United sits 14th in the league table and hasnโt won a league match since March 16. Earlier this season, United came from behind to beat Brentford 2-1.ย

Man United vs. Brentford: Prediction
Based on Manchester Unitedโs lack of interest in league fixtures and scheduling spot, my Brentford vs Man United prediction is Brentford in the First 60 Minutes (-102).ย
Currently, the only competition that matters for Manchester United is the Europa League. Thatโs the only competition giving the Red Devils an avenue to the Champions League.ย
Accordingly, manager Ruben Amorim has shown no issue rotating heavily in between those fixtures.ย
This Thursday, United travel to Spain for a meeting against Athletic Club before a second leg next Thursday at Old Trafford.ย
The last time that happened, United rotated talisman Bruno Fernandes out of the Starting XI. At home against Wolves, they entered the 60th minute tied 0-0 with only two shots on goal.ย
Now, theyโre on the road against Brentford, who have excelled against this prop as a favorite this season.ย
On eight occasions, Brentford closed at +105 on the moneyline. Theyโve won the first hour in seven of those eight matches.ย
While Brentford didnโt win the first hour at United earlier this season, they took a lead into halftime.ย
Generally, Brentford played far better at home this year. Not including Thursdayโs match, Brentford are 0.53 expected goals per 90 better at home (+0.29 vs. -0.24), per fbref.com.ย
United, irrespective of their starting lineup, posted a 2-7-8 (W-D-L) record inside the first hour away from home last year. In their last five: 1-0-4 (W-D-L).
So, although itโs a short rest spot for Brentford, I like the hosts to take a lead into the hour mark.ย
