- Liverpool is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Arsenal.
- Liverpool has won each of its last seven EPL home matches.
- My Liverpool vs. Arsenal prediction is the Arsenal spread.
To cap off Matchday 36 in the Premier League, Liverpool hosts Arsenal at Anfield.ย
Liverpool, on the heels of their title-clinching performance, fell 3-1 at Chelsea on Sunday. It marked only the third loss of the season for Arne Slotโs side.ย
Arsenal blew a 1-0 lead at home against Bournemouth to fall 2-1. That ended an eight-match unbeaten run for Mikel Artetaโs side, which sits second in the league.ย

Arsenal vs Liverpool: Prediction
Based on Arsenalโs recent success avoiding defeat and the meaningless spot for Liverpool, my Liverpool vs Arsenal prediction is the Arsenal Spread (+0.5, -150).ย
Only one side arrives at Sundayโs match with any meaning associated: Arsenal. Liverpool has already locked up the title, so little motivation exists.ย
That said, this is a horrific spot for Arsenal. Sundayโs trip marks their second straight road game in all competition after a visit to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.ย
Artetaโs side has faced that spot five times this season. While theyโre unbeaten in all five โ two wins, three draws โ the two wins came at West Ham and Ipswich Town.ย
The other three? Draws at Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea.ย
It should also be noted that, in the two above matches that finished with both teams at full strength, both finished Under 2.5 Goals (-110).ย
While itโs scary stepping in front of a Liverpool side that hasnโt dropped all three points at home since September, history also suggests itโs a strong spot to back Arsenal.ย
Since 2012, road teams priced between -130 and +246 are 117-108 SU, assuming four factors:
- The teamโs margin in the last head-to-head meeting was +0 or +1
- The opponent closed an underdog in their last match
- The opponentโs previous game margin is -2 or -1
- The road team last played at home
When those sides are coming off a defeat, they improve to 46-31 SU, including 16-9 between +193 and +246.ย
Plus, Arsenal hasnโt dropped all three points on the road since November 2, a 12-match run of road results.ย
For those reasons, it would be Arsenal or nothing for me on Sunday at Anfield.ย
