- Tottenham is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Nottingham Forest.
- Tottenham has scored at least once in 29 straight EPL matches as a home favorite.
- My Tottenham vs. Nottingham Forest prediction is Forest Draw, No Bet.
To close out Matchday 33 of the Premier League season, Tottenham hosts Nottingham Forest in North London.ย
Ange Postecoglouโs side suffered a 4-2 road defeat at Wolves on Matchday 32, their 10th road loss of the year. With the defeat, Tottenham remained 15th in the league table.ย
Forest suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Everton on Saturday, their second straight league defeat. Earlier this season, Forest captured a 1-0 win over Tottenham.ย

Nottingham Forest vs. Tottenham: Prediction
Based on Forestโs record against the bottom half and their rest advantage over Tottenham, my Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest prediction is Nottingham Forest Draw, No Bet (-105).ย
Forestโs 1-0 defeat against Everton last weekend left a small blemish on an otherwise impressive resume against bad teams.ย
This season, the Tricky Trees posted a 13-1-1 (W-D-L) record against teams currently 11th or worse in the league table.ย
Forest also dominated the reverse fixture against Tottenham. They won 1-0 with a +0.5 post-shot expected goal differential with Spurs also operating on short rest.ย
While it doesnโt qualify as a true short rest spot, Spurs still have to travel to Germany for a Thursday Europa League match before playing on Monday.ย
That competition matters much more to Tottenham, so itโs reasonable to assume Postecoglou could feature a rotated squad on Monday.ย
Even if they played at full strength, Tottenham have struggled to punch up against good teams recently.ย
Since December, all five of their wins have come against sides currently 11th or worse in the league table, with four of those five coming against teams 14th or worse.ย
History also suggests its a strong spot to back Nottingham Forest as they look to end a losing streak.ย
Since 2012, teams priced between -130 and +246 on the moneyline against a previous underdog are 116-108 SU, assuming three factors:
- The teamโs previous margin in the last meeting is +0 or +1
- The opponentโs previous game margin falls between -2 and -1
- The team previously played at home
When those teams are coming off a loss: 45-31 SU, including 32-13 off a one-goal defeat. In the initial 76-game sample, those teams dropped all three points only 14 times.ย
As a result, I like Nottingham Forest as road underdogs on Monday.
