- Wolves is predicted to be a -0.5-goal home favorite against Leicester City.
- Leicester has lost nine of its last 10 EPL matches.
- My Wolves vs. Leicester City prediction is the total over 2.5 goals.
Itโs a meaningless match at the bottom of the table with Wolves going for the league double over Leicester City.ย
Wolvesโ run of positive form continued with a 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday. It marks the sixth win on the bounce for Wolves, who also havenโt lost since Feb. 25.ย
Leicester suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Liverpool on Matchday 33, guaranteeing their relegation back to the Championship. Earlier this season, Leicester fell 3-0 at home to Wolves.ย

Leicester City vs Wolves: Prediction
Based on Wolvesโ strong attacking metrics at home and Leicesterโs penchant for loads of goals on the road, my Wolves vs. Leicester City prediction is Over 2.5 Goals (-125).ย
Leicester road matches have averaged three expected goals per 90 minutes this season. Across their first 16 trips, all but four league matches cleared 2.5 goals.ย
For Wolves, their home fixtures have also proved fairly eventful.ย
Those matches have combined to average 2.77 expected goals per 90 minutes.ย
Additionally, Vitor Pereiraโs side has recently thrived against bad defenses.ย
Each of their last two fixtures against teams 16th or worse in post-shot expected goals against saw Wolves clear two expected goals and two post-shot xG, per fbref.com.ย
Across their last four matches against the leagueโs five worst defenses, Wolves scored at least twice three times.ย
Three of those matches also cleared 2.5 goals, with a 1-0 home win against West Ham the lone failure.ย
That should allow Wolves to open up a Leicester defense that ranks 19th in post-shot xGA.ย
But donโt count out the Leicester attack against a weak Wolves defense. The Foxes performed admirably in attack when they traveled to Brighton, creating 1.5 post-shot xG.ย
Lastly, history tells us that when two bad defenses link up late in the season, goals usually flow.ย
Since 2012, matches with a total set at 2.5 goals are 72-43 to the over in games 30-37, assuming two factors:
- The road teamโs average number of goals allowed falls between 1.2 and 2.2
- The home teamโs average number of goals allowed falls between 1.6 and 2.1
Worth noting: that system also applies to Brighton vs West Ham on Saturday.ย
As a result, I like taking a short price on over 2.5 goals at Molineux.ย
