For the first time in his professional MMA career, Yair Rodriguez has received back-to-back losses, after he was dealt with a third-round submission loss by Brian Ortega in the co-main event of UFC Mexico inside the Arena CMDX in February 2024. It was his fourth loss in the UFC since making his promotional debut in June 2015.
