I like the idea of building a two-player portfolio around Stewart and Wilson again this season, as they are the two best players in the WNBA. Stewart will become more of a factor in this race, opening an opportunity to bet on Wilson later.
Stewart, who has won two MVP awards in her career, averaged 23 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.1 stocks (steals and blocks) per game last year.
Stewart should put up even better numbers in her second season with the Liberty. This team went through some growing pains at the start of last year.
New York’s win total is just two games below Las Vegas, so it’s not unreasonable to think the Liberty could finish higher than the Aces in the final standings.
