Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol 2: Prediction

I predict that Bivol will get the decision victory in this championship rematch against Beterbiev because he has shown that he can take Beterbievโ€™s best shots. Furthermore, he was able to develop an effective fight plan against him from their first meeting.

Bivol used his soviet style conclusively to counter Beterbievโ€™s aggressiveness and powerful punches. However, the only mistake he committed during the first fight was he relaxed in the latter rounds of the match.

The former IBO World Light Heavyweight champion thought he did enough in the first eight rounds of the match and just cruised his way in the last three rounds. During this stretch, he went into defensive mode and evaded the onslaught of Beterbiev.

Meanwhile, Beterbiev also had his moments during their October showdown, when he imposed his aggressiveness and landed clean power shots to score points on the judgesโ€™ scorecards. This became apparent in the late rounds.

Knowing how important it is to end a championship match in his favor, Beterbiev turned on the heat in the last three rounds and went all out with his offense to help him eke out a close majority decision victory.

With these factors being pointed out, I think that Bivol would not let this mistake happen again in this rematch, as heโ€™s expected to be on Beterbievโ€™s heels throughout the 12-round battle to secure a more convincing decision win.
