Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury 2: Prediction

I predict that Usyk will get a more convincing victory and secure a unanimous decision nod from the judges. His pace and volume have been a problem for Fury in their first match. This will be the same key to victory for the defending champion.

Along with producing a high output of punches throughout that match, Usyk was able to pressure Fury against the ropes, making him uncomfortable and preventing him from having the breathing room to pick his shots.ย

Furthermore, Usykโ€™s approach has neutralized Furyโ€™s advantages in terms of physicality, as he failed to capitalize on his taller height (6 inches) and longer reach (7 inches). But I wouldnโ€™t count Fury out in this rematch.

Fury is a master of rematches, as shown in his second meeting with Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora, who he defeated convincingly in those matches. However, there are two things that he needs to improve on in this upcoming showdown.

First, the โ€œGypsy Kingโ€ should have better shot selection and accuracy to be able to land his signature powerful punches. He needs to employ a counterpunching approach to combat the constant pressure and output of Usyk.
