The 2025 NBA Draft canโ€™t come soon enough for at least one team.

One franchise will get the opportunity to draft Cooper Flagg, who is considered the top prospect in the 2025 rookie class. Flagg, a 6-foot-9 forward, put together an impressive freshman campaign at Duke and has the potential to be a franchise player at the next level.

But where will Flagg start his professional career? A NBA odds market at the BetMGM online sportsbook helps provide insight, listing betting odds for which team will earn the No. 1 pick.

Cooper Flagg Next Team Prediction

Predicting which team will win the NBA Draft Lottery is a difficult challenge, but itโ€™s worth noting that the Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards, and Charlotte Hornets are betting favorites with +550 odds to land the No. 1 pick and potentially select Flagg in the 2025 NBA Draft.

That makes sense based on how the regular season unfolded. All three teams finished with fewer than 20 wins, with the Jazz posting the worst record at 17-65. The Wizards went 18-64, while the Hornets finished 19-63. All three teams have a 14% chance of earning the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft lottery.

While teams with a worse record have better odds, that doesnโ€™t always equate to the ping pong balls bouncing their way during the lottery. For example, the Detroit Pistons earned the No. 5 pick in last yearโ€™s draft after posting the worst record in the league.

More teams were actively trying to lose this year compared to last season, largely thanks to the potential talent of the upcoming rookie class. That makes for an entertaining race for the No. 1 pick, but it also makes this market even more unpredictable.

Personally, Iโ€™d like to see Flagg end up in the Eastern Conference. There are too many talented players in the Western Conference, and the NBA desperately needs more balance. The Wizards might be the best long-term fit, but the Hornets could prove instant entertainment by pairing Flagg with LaMelo Ball.

The Hornets haven’t won a playoff series since 2002, but Flagg could give this franchise some new life.

Prediction: Hornets
