- The Oklahoma City Thunder are now the betting favorites to win the NBA Cup.
- The Lakers won the leagueโs first in-season tournament last year.
The NBAโs first attempt at an in-season tournament was a smashing success during the 2023-24 campaign.
Regular-season games in November seemed more meaningful, with players motivated by the prize pool and trophy. The Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural In-Season Tournament, besting the Indiana Pacers in the championship game in Las Vegas.
The event has been rebranded as the Emirates NBA Cup for 2024. Four teams head to Las Vegas for the semifinals on Saturday. The event will culminate with the NBA Cup Championship on Dec. 17.
Here is a look at the latest NBA Cup odds at the BetMGM online sportsbook for this yearโs event:
Odds to Win NBA Cup 2024
Team | Odds |

Hawks | +500 |
NBA Cup Odds & Betting Favorites 2024
The Oklahoma City Thunder enter the semifinals as the betting favorites (+120) to win the 2024 NBA Cup. That gives them an implied probability of 45.45% to win the in-season tournament.
The Thunder are the third different favorite (and first Western Conference team) in the NBA Cup market.
The Boston Celtics initially led as the favorites, widely regarded as the league’s best team. But they were upset by the Atlanta Hawks on opening night of group play, leading the New York Knicks to be favorites until they lost to the Hawks in the quarterfinals.
Now that this event heads to Las Vegas for the semifinals and championship, there isn’t as much value to be had in predicting the eventual winner.
I think the Thunder are the best team in the field, but the Milwaukee Bucks are a better bet at their current odds. It would be Milwaukee or pass at this point.
Prediction: Bucks (+240)
