  • The Orlando Magic went 47-35 last year.
  • Orlandoโ€™s win total is 47.5 for the 2024-25 season.

After winning the Southeast Division last year, the Orlando Magic hope to take another step into contender status in the Eastern Conference.

NBA futures odds are available at the online sportsbook, including Orlando Magic odds for NBA champion, division winner, and player awards.

Magic Futures Odds

Win Total: 47.5
Southeast Division: -135
Eastern Conference: +2200
NBA Championship: +6600

The NBA odds market is showing plenty of respect to the Magic following last yearโ€™s 47-35 campaign that ended in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Orlando’s preseason odds of winning its division have a minus value for the first time since 2009-10. For comparison, the Magic were +700 before winning the division last year.

This yearโ€™s win total of 47.5 is Orlandoโ€™s highest preseason over/under since having a mark of 54.5 before the 2010-11 season.

Magic Offseason Moves

The Magic added critical pieces in the offseason to help them win their first playoff series since 2010.

The Magic hope that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope can help them have more postseason success, so they signed him to a three-year, $66 million deal.

Caldwell-Pope, 31, has been part of two different championship teams. He won a title with the Denver Nuggets (2023) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2020) and figures to step into the teamโ€™s starting shooting guard position.

Tristan da Silva, a forward from Colorado, could be one of the better value picks in this yearโ€™s NBA Draft.

Magic 2024 Betting Prediction

Prediction: Magic to Win Southeast Division (-135)

The Magic havenโ€™t won consecutive division crowns since stringing three straight first-place finishes together between 2007-10.ย

But the Southeast Division doesnโ€™t appear to have the firepower to challenge the Magic for the throne.

The Miami Heat figure to be Orlandoโ€™s primary challenger, but I question the upside of a Jimmy Butler-led team at his age. The Heat also lost a key contributor in Caleb Martin, while Orlando added KCP.

The Magic ranked second in the league in defensive rating, so thereโ€™s unlikely to be a significant drop-off on that end of the floor. There is room for growth on the offensive end (22nd), especially with KCP in the mix and Paolo Banchero being another year older.

Jump on the Orlando bandwagon before itโ€™s too late.
