  • Stephen Curry has set the record for the most points in a Game 7 with 50.
  • Kevin Durant is second on the list with 48 points.
  • All players listed have at least 40 points.

Stephen Curry has set the record for the most points scored in a Game 7 with his 50-point performance against the Sacramento Kings to help the Golden State Warriors advance to the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs. Curry converted seven of his 18 three-point attempts and shot 52% from the field to avenge their Game 6 loss at home and keep their back-to-back title hopes alive.

That clutch and spectacular performance by Curry has maintained Golden Stateโ€™s status as one of the favorites to capture another championship in NBA odds. As of May 1, it has NBA odds of +550 to be the outright winner of the title per BetMGMโ€™s online sportsbook.

Following Curry in this category is his former teammate Kevin Durant who put up 48 points in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Milwaukee Bucks. Unfortunately, it was not enough to get them past the Bucks as they succumbed to a 115-111 overtime defeat on their home floor. Durant logged 53 minutes and added nine rebounds and six assists to cap off this incredible performance.

Other players preceding Curry and Durant in this category are Dominique Wilkins and Sam Jones, who scored 47 points apiece; Luka Doncic and Kevin Johnson with 46 each; LeBron James with 45 points on two occasions, in 2008 and 2018; and Allen Iverson and Charles Barkley putting up 44 points in their best Game 7 performances.
