  • The Memphis Grizzlies hold a crucial position in the NBA Draft with their No. 9 pick.
  • Devin Carter is the betting favorite at +340 to go No. 9 overall.

A lot went wrong for the Memphis Grizzlies during a 27-55 campaign.

Better health and minor adjustments could allow Memphis to get back on track. After all, the Grizzlies won 51 games and were the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference just two years ago.

The Grizzlies have the No. 9 pick in this year’s draft, and the latest odds at the online sportsbook provide a better idea of what they might do from that slot:

NBA Draft Odds – No. 9 Overall Pick

Dalton Knecht+600
Zach Edey+600
Ron Holland+650

Prediction for No. 9 Pick: Ron Holland (+650)

This NBA betting price on Ron Holland to be the No. 9 pick is too enticing to pass up.

For one, this is a prime trade spot.

Teams at the top of the board hope to trade down, but are still looking for a trade partner. That’s because the most valuable part of this year’s draft starts in the back half of the lottery and ends late in Round 1.

I’m counting on many teams being eager to trade up to select Holland once he begins to fall, starting with the No. 9 pick.

The Grizzlies don’t necessarily need to hit on their draft pick to improve, so they might use the slot to collect additional assets while another team shoots for the upside with Holland.

It wouldn’t even surprise me if the Grizzlies were intrigued by Holland’s potential as an athletic wing.

Holland averaged 19.5 points per game in the G League last year, and despite his stock falling a bit, one team will take a chance on his potential like the Houston Rockets did with Cam Whitmore last year.

NBA Betting Splits: No. 9 Pick

Devin Carter, the son of Grizzlies assistant coach Anthony Carter, is the betting favorite for this pick. He has received 26.9% of the handle to go No. 9 overall.

Cody Williams has received 23.2% of the bets to be picked here.
