Michael Jordan played college basketball for three years at North Carolina, from 1981-84.

These were vintage years for UNC basketball, as head coach Dean Smith coached a roster led by James Worthy, Sam Perkins and Michael Jordan.

As a result, the Tar Heels won the ACC regular-season championship all three years Jordan was there. They also won the ACC tournament championship and the NCAA national championship in 1982.

Following his college career, he was drafted third overall by the Chicago Bulls, and… well, you probably know the rest.
