When the North Carolina Tar Heels reached the Final Four in 2022, it was their 21st all-time appearance, which is the most of any men’s college basketball team.

Former North Carolina coach Roy Williams has the fourth-most Final Four appearances among coaches, with nine. Five of them came while in Chapel Hill.
