Overtime Elite is a professional basketball league for players between the ages of 16 and 20. It was designed as a pre-NBA alternative to college basketball.

Players can receive an annual salary guaranteed to be at least $100,000; they can also forgo a salary in order to preserve their NCAA eligibility, in case they want to leave Overtime Elite to play college basketball.

Overtime Elite players also attend classes with practical real-world applications.

The league was only founded in 2021, but it’s already established a notable footprint in the prep/college basketball space.

Two Overtime Elite players were drafted in the top five of the 2023 NBA Draft; it also attracted a commitment from Naasir Cunningham, who is ESPN’s No. 1 prospect from the class of 2024.
