St. Johnโ€™s is a true bubble team with a roughly 50-50 shot to make the NCAA Tournament.ย

St. Johnโ€™s was a near-.500 team on Feb. 18 but finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak. The Johnnies subsequently went on a run to the Big East tournament semifinals and played a tight game against No. 1 UConn, losing 95-90.

Under normal circumstances, that would probably have been enough to get St. John’s into the tournament as an at-large team. However, an abnormally large number of late bid steals could still keep the Red Storm out of the Big Dance. They’re one of the biggest mystery teams for Selection Sunday.

Here are some of the basic ratings for St. Johnโ€™s as of March 17:ย
