The Baltimore Ravens currently have a record-setting preseason 23-game winning streak, which is the longest in NFL history. They havenโ€™t lost a single preseason game since the summer of 2015.

The previous all-time record was held by Vince Lombardiโ€™s Packers in the early 1960s, but there is some discrepancy on how long the winning streak was because of poor record-keeping. Some sources say 19, while others say it, too, reached 23 games.ย

Modern NFL coaches often deploy different philosophies about how seriously to take preseason results. Some believe there is value in building an early focus on winning; others are using the time to evaluate individual player performances to ensure the final 53-man roster is finalized for maximum competitiveness.ย

Rams head coach Sean McVay is in the latter camp and has openly stated how little he cares about preseason results. Ravens coach John Harbaugh is clearly in the former group.

Baltimore is a six-point favorite against the reigning NFC champions on Saturday in its first preseason game of the 2023 season. It is the biggest favorite of the week, thanks in large part to the long-running winning streak.
