  • Why bettors should expect a low-scoring game in Washington, D.C.
  • Can the Saints continue their positive start to the season?
  • How BetMGM allows you to increase the payout even further.

All bettors love turning a little into a lot and Same Game Parlays allow you to do just that.

For those unfamiliar, a Same Game Parlay (SGP) allows bettors to combine otherwise correlative outcomes into a single bet. If both legs hit, the parlay pays out.

However, if just one leg loses, the entire bet is a loser.

With NFL Week 3 just around the corner, I’ve examined the NFL odds and constructed two same game parlay bets worth a shot for bettors.

NFL Same Game Parlay No. 1

Bills Moneyline & Total Under 44.5 Points (+180)

It’s time to sell this Washington Commanders team against their best opponent of the season.

Led by new starter Sam Howell, the Commanders have scored 20 points in two straight games.

However, they’re now facing a Bills defense ranked third in defensive DVOA through the first two weeks. Last season, they finished second in that metric.

Without a fluid offensive, I question how Washington wins this game outright, even at home. Last season, the Commanders finished 4-5 straight up at home.

That said, don’t discount their defensive quality.

Washington ranked 10th in defensive DVOA last season and has matched that record through the first two weeks. Regarding the Bills, they should find more resistance than a week ago against the Raiders.

Add in the chance of a windy day – reducing overall pass attempts and kicking success – and I’ll back a low-scoring contest.

NFL Same Game Parlay No. 2

Saints Spread (+2.5) & Total Under 42.5 Points (+250)

I recognize the competition is somewhere around average, but this Saints team has really impressed me through two weeks.

The cornerstone is their defense, which ranked fourth in defensive DVOA, including third against the pass. That puts them in good position against a Packers side ranked second in pass offense DVOA.

If the Packers can’t pass the ball, I wonder how they rack up points in a hurry. Plus, this game could also feature high winds, leading to more rushing attempts.

Not only does that put the Packers in a corner, but New Orleans’ offense likely won’t succeed that much, either. Entering Week 3, head coach Dennis Allen’s side ranks 21st in offensive DVOA.

Given I expect a low-scoring game, that generally favors the underdog. Additionally, dating back to Week 15 of the 2022-23 season, the Saints are 5-1 straight up in games that feature fewer than 40 points.

As a result, I’ll back the Saints to keep it close and potentially win a low-scoring battle.

BetMGM Same-Game Parlay+ (SGP+)

This season at BetMGM, users can take advantage of a new same game parlay feature – the SGP+.

This allows users to combine multiple same game parlay bets into a single wager to further increase the payout.

Using the above two same game parlays as an example, bettors’ odds would increase to +880 ($100 bet wins $880).

However, all four legs need to hit for the SGP+ to pay out. Check out more information on BetMGM’s SGP+ feature
