News broke late Friday afternoon that the Chicago Bearsโ€™ top NFL Draft Pick is officially on the move. ESPNโ€™s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Bears are sending the No. 1 overall pick from this yearโ€™s draft to Carolina in exchange for DJ Moore and four draft picks.

The four draft picks that Chicago will receive include the No. 9 overall pick in this yearโ€™s draft, which is just eight spots below the No. 1 overall slot that itโ€™s sending to Carolina.

Chicago will also receive a pick in the late second round of this yearโ€™s NFL Draft, as well as a first-round pick in next yearโ€™s draft and a second-round pick in the 2025 draft.

Moore will provide a critical, immediate improvement for Chicagoโ€™s passing game in 2023. Cole Kmet led the Bearsโ€™ abysmal pass-catchers last season with 544 yards.

Moore has posted 750 receiving yards in each of his five seasons in the NFL, including back-to-back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons from 2019-21.ย
