Undrafted in 2018, Gus Edwards was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. Edwards quickly became one of the most exciting young backs in the league, rushing for at least 700 yards in three straight years.

He became a staple in the Ravens backfield and was rewarded in 2021 with a two-year contract extension worth $10 million.

Unfortunately, the running back suffered a torn ACL and was ruled out for the season. Returning for nine games in 2022, he was a shell of his former self, putting up career lows across the board. Set to be a free agent in the offseason, he reworked his contract with the Ravens, reducing his pay.

Gus Edwards Salary

Edwards and the Ravens reworked his contract on March 13, 2023. Although reducing his base pay, the agreement has appearance and performance incentives written in it.

In 2023, he will have a base salary of $1,084,000 and a restructure bonus of $2,300,000.

Gus Edwards Cap Hit

The 27-year-old will carry a cap hit of $2,794,000 in 2023. His contract has a dead cap value of $4,630,000.

Gus Edwards Potential Extension

Set to be a free agent at the end of the 2023 season, Edwards has a big year ahead of him. He must prove he can still produce at the NFL level, or it will be challenging to earn an extension.

In 52 total games for Baltimore, Edwards recorded 2,585 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 501 carries.
