  • The Jets’ 2026 win total is set at 5.5 wins at BetMGM.
  • Not since the 2022 NFL season have the Jets cleared their season win total.
  • I predict the Jets finish over 5.5 wins due to an easier-than-perceived schedule.

For the 2026 NFL season, the Jets’ win total sits at 5.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

New York earned only three wins in Aaron Glenn’s debut season. The output included five straight losses to end the season with Brady Cook starting at quarterback.

Despite the failure, Glenn’s Jets enter the 2026 season with the same win total as last year. If the Jets clear 5.5 wins this year, it will mark the franchise’s first clearance since 2022.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for New York’s 2026 win total and my Jets win total prediction.

Jets Win Total Odds

The Jets’ season win total is set at 5.5 games.

Oddsmakers price the under as a slightly more likely outcome. Currently, the Jets are to win at least six games next year.

Meanwhile, the odds for them to finish with five or fewer wins is .

Here are the 2026 NFL win totals for all AFC East teams:

Jets Win Total Prediction 2026

Based on overwhelming bad luck in close games and an easier-than-perceived schedule next year, I predict the Jets finish Over 5.5 Wins (+100).

I’ll fault no one who wants to pass entirely on good things happening to the Jets. What I’ll say is that more evidence exists than not that the Jets improve from a 3-14 record last season.

Zero emphasis should be placed on the Jets’ final five games. Cook started every game at quarterback behind a defense that had since traded Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams.

Unsurprisingly, the Jets lost all five games by at least 23 points. The offense scored 11 or more points only once in that span.

I want to focus on the first seven games of the season. New York started 0-7 under Glenn, but ran extremely unlucky in the process.

Five of those seven losses came by a possession or less. That stretch includes three losses by two points each against Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay and Denver.

For the entire season, New York finished 3-5 in one-possession games. They also finished 0-6 in the division, with only room to grow in that record.

Accomplishing that feat appears doable in the context of the schedule. By opponent season win totals, the Jets project to face the league’s fifth-easiest schedule.

A lot of that ease is contained within the division and New York’s unique games.

In addition to facing the AFC West & NFC North, New York plays unique games against Tennessee, Cleveland and Arizona.

What’s worth noting about the schedule, though, is that it might play easier than expected.

Last season, New York’s opponents combined to win 149 games. After factoring in strength of schedule, those opponents’ cumulative expected wins was 135.6.

Games against lucky teams like Denver, Chicago, New England and Los Angeles (A) may provide higher win equity for the Jets than expected.

Plus, the Jets benefit from an easier home schedule. Next season, the Jets’ home opponents average an 8.1 season win total compared to 8.5 on the road.

Outside the division: 8.1 at home against 8.7 on the road.

Further driving a belief in the Jets is presumed improvement in turnover luck. Infamously, New York failed to record an interception last season while turning opponents over four times.

That led to a -19 turnover differential, easily the worst in the league. Since the schedule changed to 17 games, only two teams posted worse differentials.

The 2021 Jaguars posted a -20 differential and improved by six wins the next season. The 2024 Browns posted a -22 differential and improved by two wins the next year.

Over the same timeframe, only two teams recorded under 9.5 takeaways: the ‘21 and ‘24 Jaguars. Both versions went on to win the division the subsequent season.

Due to those factors, it’s over 5.5 wins or a pass on the Jets entirely next year.

Most Wins in Jets History

The Jets’ franchise record for most regular season wins is 12. In 1998, the Jets posted a 12-4 record before losing in the AFC Championship to the Denver Broncos.

Fewest Wins in Jets History

The Jets’ franchise record for the fewest regular-season wins is one. In 1996, the Jets had their worst season, posting a 1-15 record.
