Highest-Paid Washington Commanders Players in 2024

Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is currently the highest-paid player on the Washington Commanders. 

All told, McLaurin is one of only three players making more than $10 million in base salary. Contributing to that trend is the fact Washington has nearly $29 million in dead money.

  1. Terry McLaurin: $24.1 million cap hit

Since joining the Commanders in 2019, McLaurin has racked up at least 1,000 yards receiving in four of five seasons. 

McLaurin signed a three-year, $68.2 million extension with Washington in July 2022.

2. Daron Payne: $21.6 million cap hit

The Commanders drafted Payne in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. 

He’s played with Washington since and signed a four-year, $90 million deal in March 2023 prior to free agency. 

3. Jonathan Allen: $21.4 million cap hit

Allen is another presence on the Commanders defensive line and joined Washington as a first-round pick in 2017. 

The 17th overall pick in 2017 recently signed a four-year extension worth $72 million. 

4. Andrew Wylie: $9.4 million cap hit

After five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Wylie joined Washington as a free agent in 2023. 

Last year, he completed a three-year, $24 million deal with a $5 million base salary jump from 2023 to 2024. 

5. Jayden Daniels: $6.8 million cap hit

The Commanders drafted Daniels from LSU with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Daniels’ rookie contract is for four years and just over $4 million. 

6. Bobby Wagner: $6.5 million cap hit

Wagner joined the Commanders as a free agent during the 2024 offseason. He signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract. Of that, $6.04 million is guaranteed. 

7. Marcus Mariota: $6 million cap hit

Mariota is another free agency acquisition for Washington in 2024. After a season as the Eagles backup, he joined the Commanders on a one-year, $6 million contract. 

8. Dorance Armstrong Jr.: $5.1 million cap hit

Armstrong followed new Commanders head coach Dan Quinn from Dallas this offseason. 

Following six seasons in Dallas, Armstrong signed a three-year, $33 million contract with Washington. 

9. Jamin Davis: $4.4 million cap hit

Davis is still playing on his rookie contract after the Commanders used a 2021 first-round pick on the linebacker. 

This marks the final year of his rookie deal. Davis is slated to make $2.5 million in base salary and count $4.4 million against the cap. 

10. Tyler Biadasz: $4.4 million cap hit

Biadasz is another addition from Dallas during the 2024 offseason. Following four seasons in Dallas, the center signed a three-year, $30 million deal with Washington.
