The Cincinnati Bengals have been to the Super Bowl three times: XVI, XXIII, and LVI.

Have the Bengals Ever Won the Super Bowl?

The Bengals are one of 12 NFL teams that have never won the Super Bowl. Among those 12 teams, the Bengals are one of eight teams that have at least one Super Bowl appearance.

With a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, they’ll remain among the 12 teams without a Super Bowl win for at least one more season.

Super Bowl XVI vs. 49ers

The Bengals first appeared in the Super Bowl in January 1982 after the 1981 NFL season. They lost to Joe Montana and the 49ers, 26-21, at Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan.

Super Bowl XXIII vs. 49ers

Seven years later, the Bengals lost to the 49ers again. They led 13-6 entering the fourth quarter but lost, 20-16, at Hard Rock Stadium (then Joe Robbie Stadium) in Miami.

Super Bowl LVI vs. Rams

In the franchise’s third Super Bowl appearance, Joe Burrow and the Bengals lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 23-20, at SoFi Stadium.
