The oldest player in NFL history was quarterback/kicker George Blanda at 48 years old, playing for 26 seasons across four different decades.

The next three were all kickers: 47-year-old Morten Andersen and 46-year-olds John Carney and Adam Vinatieri.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is currently the oldest active player in the NFL at age 40 (Dec. 2, 1983), followed by 40-year-old tight end Marcedes Lewis (May 19, 1984).
