Cowboys Super Bowl Prediction: Odds Breakdown for Dallas

As of Jan. 9, the Cowboys Super Bowl odds are +750, an implied probability of 11.8%. Prior to the 2024 NFL season, Dallas was +1400 to raise the Vince Lombardi Trophy. 

They also possess +300 odds – an implied probability of 25% – to win the NFC Championship at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

However, bettors don’t possess much confidence in the Cowboys’ futures viability. As of Jan. 2, Dallas accounted for only 5.6% of tickets and 5.8% of handle. 

Super Bowl 58 Betting Prediction

As tempting as Dallas’ price looks, I’m not backing them to win the Super Bowl. Instead, check out my 49ers Super Bowl Prediction for a pick. 

The big issue preventing a play on Dallas: I’m unsure if their defense is any good. 

Dallas ranks fifth in defensive DVOA, yet faced the 24th-hardest set of opposing defenses, per ftnfantasy.com. 

Once they face quality opposition, I question if their defense holds up in the absence of Trevon Diggs. 

Plus, it’s already been proven they’re miles behind the 49ers. San Francisco has captured two straight head-to-head wins over Dallas, who are 4-5 straight up away from home. 

As a result, I’ll be surprised if they can take down a 49ers team who have yet to lose a meaningful home game against NFC opposition since the beginning of last season. 

If you want to bet Dallas, the better bet is to take them to win the Super Bowl instead of the conference. That said, I’d want +1000 or better to get involved.
