Tim Settle Contract: Salary, Cap Hit, Potential Extension

Heading into the final year of his contract Tim Settle agreed to restructure his deal with the Bills to stay in Buffalo. 

Drafted 163rd overall in the 2018 NFL draft, the defensive tackle is part of a young defensive line in Buffalo. In 2022 the 26-year-old appeared in 15 games, recording 19 total tackles (four for a loss) and one sack.

Tim Settle Salary

In 2023, Settle will earn a base salary of $2,108,000, with a signing bonus of $1,350,000. The contract also includes a workout bonus of $100,000.

Tim Settle signed a two-year, $9,000,000 deal with the Bills a year ago. It included a $4,050,000 signing bonus, $7,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,500,000.

The 26-year-old’s contract will carry a cap hit of $4,324,000 in 2023, with a dead cap hit of $5,158,000.

Tim Settle Potential Extension

It appears Settle will be in line for a contract extension given Buffalo’s intentions of keeping their defensive core together.

If the 26-year-old improves on his first year in Buffalo, he will be in line for at least $5,000,000 a year. Yet to enter his prime, the sky is the limit for Tim Settle.
