Tommy DeVito Contract: Salary, Guaranteed Money With Giants

The king of cutlets is back in the spotlight.

With another season crashing spectacularly into the East River, the Giants are now in evaluation mode. That means figuring out who, if anyone, is a serviceable quarterback on their roster.

New York is probably in the market for a quarterback, assuming it’s willing to eat the $22 million in dead cap money left on Daniel Jones’ contract. 

In the meantime, it’s turning to 26-year-old Tommy DeVito – an Illinois alumnus and fan favorite who drew acclaim in 2023 for playing on the Giants’ active roster while still living at his mom’s house. 

Perhaps DeVito can lead a late-season surge for New York Giants odds bettors. That’d be quite the spicy meatball. 

Tommy DeVito Contract

In May 2023, Tommy DeVito signed a two-year minimum contract with the New York Giants worth $1.67 million. 

DeVito was waived by New York in August at the end of last year’s preseason camp, then signed to the practice squad when no other team claimed him. He was returned to the active roster on Oct. 31 after Jones was injured and has remained there ever since. 

While the value of his contract is nearly $1.7 million, DeVito will only make about $1.3 million because of his time off the Giants’ 53-man roster.

DeVito’s contract includes no signing bonus and no guaranteed money.

Tommy DeVito’s will collect a base salary of $915,000 in 2024 – the NFL minimum salary for a player with one year of experience.
