The NFL’s legal tampering period for the 2024 season began March 11, at 12:00 p.m. ET, which meant teams could legally negotiate with upcoming free agents.
The NFL free agency beginning was scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, at 4:00 p.m. ET. Free agency marks the official beginning of the 2024 NFL season.
However, in anticipation of that period, teams and representatives can begin negotiating with pending free agency in the 52-hour period immediately before the official start of free agency.
