Islanders Playoff Chances, 2025 Postseason Odds

The Islanders are beginning to edge closer toward a third straight postseason berth.

On March 20, the Islanders sat in fifth position in the Metro division, 10 points adrift of third place. Additionally, New York sat three points behind the Canadiens for the second wild card spot.

But New York made up ground in recent contests. As of March 26, the Islanders find themselves seven points behind the third Metro playoff spot and only a point behind the second wild card position.

NHL Playoff Chances: Will New York Make the Playoffs?

Based on current NHL odds from the BetMGM online sportsbook, the Islanders (+200) are predicted to miss the postseason.ย 

At +200, New Yorkโ€™s implied probability of reaching the 2025 playoffs comes in at 33.3%. That’s up significantly from March 20 when oddsmakers priced the Islanders at +320, an implied probability of 23.8%.ย 

In terms of comparing that price to other Eastern Conference teams, New York sits fifth on the odds board.ย
